(Reviewed by our Guest Critic: The Movie Knight)  Avengers: Infinity War may have been dominating the box office for the past few weeks, but the Merc with a Mouth is about to take them down. Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is back and this time he is putting together a special team to take on the time-traveling mutant, Cable (Josh Brolin), who has come back to kill a child who is supposed to become a real menace in the future.

All the elements that made the original movie so successful can be found in this new entry. There’s a lot of comedy and action. Deadpool breaks the fourth wall and a few pop and love songs get interjected at times you would not have expected. This one is funnier. That was certainly a goal of the filmmakers and they accomplish it. However, while there is plenty of action to go around, those scenes do not rise to the levels of those done in the past.

A sequel cannot truly be successful if it just copies what was done before. Without the same fun flow as its predecessor, it gets caught up trying to catch the spirit of it,  but the execution is not there. Most fans still will not walk out disappointed. The end credit sequence will have them laughing so hard, they’ll forgive any flaws that came earlier, almost as if someone came back from the future and changed the past.
