      102 Dalmatians
(rated G)   Temporarily cured of puppy lust, Cruella DeVil (Glenn Close) is released from jail, vowing to never again touch another cute, spotted canine. When she meets up with a Parisian fur peddler, Jean Pierre Le Pelt (Gerard Depardieu), that all changes. There's more 'real' puppy acting in this version as opposed to the original 101 Dalmatians with computer generated dogs. It's charming, the doggies are adorable, it's safe, it's Disney, and the reason for 102 this time, Cruella wants a "hooded" coat. The beauty of this sequel is that children will feel familiar as the director maintains a consistency in the tone, style and story that includes another messy ending as its original. Instead of the mucky barn scene, it's a cake baking disaster. This one "spot lights" other lovable pooch breeds at a party, too.
