The Screen Queen's column began 17 years ago in newspapers as far north as Maine, and as far south as Miami, with Indiana someplace (west and) in-between. She can be heard on the Saga Communications Group of radio stations, including her flagship station (on Thursday mornings) WZID in Manchester, New Hampshire, with Mikey in the Morning. Since the late 1990s, she has been a guest on Ron St. Pierre's morning show at WPRO in Providence, Rhode Island.

While The Screen Queen spends most of her time in darkened theaters to see what's hot and what's not, her favorites include underdog, indie, flicks. Yet, her primary focus is the "bus stop mom" - women who sit idle in their cars with morning coffee mugs at the bus stop to send their children off to school. They have long trusted Screen Queen's suggestions on what to see that's family appropriate for kids, elderly parents, and even date-night with husbands.

The Screen Queen frequently ventures off her throne to write inspirational and empowerment articles for women's magazines under her civilian name, Lois Cahall.  Her work can be found in many Hearst (Seventeen, Marie Claire, Redbook) and Conde Nast magazines (SELF) as well as more general circulations like Reader's Digest, Bon Appetit, and RED (in the UK.) She's also appeared on numerous Television shows and was the anchor for ABC TV news "Top Priority" and an occasional host on Good Morning America Now.  For sample segments click here:

When not in Manhattan, Screen Queen can be found in Europe - mainly London or Paris - where she escapes (usually by horse-drawn carriage) to frolic and cavort with fellow royalty.

Okay, but seriously...aside from all that Queen playing, she's just a 'Lady in Waiting' - waiting, that is on her family, and all those issues that come with two grown daughters, two cats and one 'boyfriend.'  Screen Queen is just a mom and girl next door - the kind of woman you'd share a cup of coffee. One cream please, no sugar. And preferably in her garden.

You are welcome to send your regards to the Queen. Just hit the "Contact" page of this website to send a message. Screen Queen loves to hear from you.
