the long short….This story (based on the book by Michael Lewis) would have made a great documentary although Michael Moore did a similar one in Capitalism: A Love Story.

I don’t see all the hype. This is a movie that starts out so fabulous and then fizzles to an emotional gut wrench, like watching someone being live raped. Why? It hurts to watch Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, and Steve Carell – four outsiders in the world of high-finance – predict the 2008 credit/housing bubble collapse. The big banks ‘don’t want to hear it’ and stay grounded in their greed and lack of foresight…at the American cost.  We all suffered.

Nothing worse than listening to a pumped up soundtrack as the hedge fund guys party to what will be all middle American demise. ♚
