The African American version of Love Actually. It’s a Christmas movie that tries to be about family, faith and holidays, but in the last twenty minutes it gets a little too tear jerky intense and coincidental.  Their a successful bunch – an athlete, a chef, a media personality, an author, and even a reality housewife.   They’re an exciting cast:  Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, and my favorite, Terrence Howard, who actually steals the movie though the lost-bachelor character is beneath him. This is a pimp kind of role.  A throwback to his Hustle & Flow days. That said, one of the film’s best lines is when an author named Harper (Taye Diggs) is being reprimanded by his agent for delivering a bad book to him, the agent says “You don’t even twitter. People want 140 characters. Not 140 characters!”  ♔ ♕ 1/2
