Even though the theatre was packed full of women, it’s got to be every American male’s fantasy….a room full of screaming women throwing themselves at you as you parade around, tempting her, with gyrating moves, in your superhero physique.  Director Steve Soderbegh tackles the fantasy lives of Floridian men in hard hats and blue collar jobs (this generations’ Full Monty) who decide there’s a better way to earn a living….strip at the Xquisite Male Dance Revue in Tampa, of course! Our lead man, Mike (Channing Tatum) has a dream of being an
entrepreneur – designing custom furniture and wishing he could open his own business, but his g-string cash tips don’t help when it comes to building a line of er, credit for that business loan.

The other guy, Adam (Cody Horn) lives with his older bossy sister and happens upon the world of screaming fans when Mikey introduces “The
Kid” to his boss, Matt McConaughey, who’s having much too much fun running the club that he plans to open in a bigger venue in Miami.

Lick-it-like-a-lollipop might seem all fine and dandy sugar candy, but when you’re dealing with the underground world of cash and egos, illegalities worm their way into places (and we’re not talking that padded thong.)

Channing Tatum apparrently knows how to strip since he made a career out of it before his first acting gig. He’s virtually the Marky  Marky of the dance floor busting moves to put any hip hop dancer to shame. But it’s McConaughey who surprises with his ripped
body and sexy moves. The films works because Soderbergh knows how to keep it purposeful (Erin Brokovich) but makes the stars wonder at what point is enough well, enough?  Bring your one dollar bills but give it three and a half tiaras
