Move over Fidel Castro. Move over Gaddafi. Now we have Aladeen (Sacha Baron Cohen) a heroic dictator who will stop at nothing to ensure his sad, repressed country continues to live without democracy. An inappropriately funny and unnecessary little film, dedicated to Kim Jong Il, Aladeen (Baron Cohen) runs his country of “Wadiya” known for nuclear threats, and even its own Olympic games. Aladeen is the quintessential terrorist/dictator rolled up in one. Tamir (Ben Kingsley) pretends to be his right hand man – even greeting him by kissing Aladeen’s underarms, but is the mastermind behind the scheme to bring the country of Wadiya down, in order to make BP and Exxon and other oil companies, richer.

John C Reilly makes an appearance as the manager of a five star hotel in NY called “The Lancaster” but it’s Zoe (Anna Farris) who steals the film as a vegan, feminist anti-gender type who runs an Organic health food store with a side catering business. This ain’t Eddie Murphy’s Coming to America by a long shot. 2 tiaras
