If your husband died in an unexpected parachute accident and you were left with a mountain full of debts, what would you do so your home wouldn’t be put on the auction block? Sell marijuana, of course! Academy Award nominated actress Brenda Blethyn portrays recently widowed Grace who’s left with a doorstep full of bill collectors in a small seaport town in England, after she learns her cheating hubby put the house up for collateral, in some business ventures gone wrong. With the help of some able-to-keep-a-secret-neighbors, she desperately turns to her now-unemployed caretaker Matthew, (Craig Ferguson) who advises her to use her gardening skills as a way to make money. The two come up with a scheme that will surely raise eyebrows as they grow marijuana under heater lamps faster then you can say “repossess furniture.” Once you get past the annoyed emotions of a husband that would actually leave his wife this devastated, what surfaces is a refreshing, charming story similar to “Waking Ned Devine” that will leaving you inhaling with laughter.
