– stays in Vegas, except in this case, it would have been fantastic if it did, thus sparing us all a really bad movie.   Joy McNally (Cameron Diaz) is an uptight and demanding trader by day and a just-dumped fiancée by night.  Jack Fuller (Ashton Kutcher) is a furniture maker by day and party animal by night.  When the two end up in Vegas and meet over a drunken mistake, they wake up married. They also end up the winners of three million dollars by better accident as well. Instantly planning to annul the nuptials and run with the money, they fall into the hands of the Judge (Dennis Miller) who sentences them to a six month “sentence” marriage and counseling with a therapist (Queen Latifah). One can’t be sure if the marriage or the movie is worse but this much is certain….it’s too forced, too set up and too goofy a premise, with characters we don’t care about because, well, they don’t even care about themselves.  And don’t think I’m ruining anything by saying it’s inevitable they end up together because clearly it’s the only way to go since the characters couldn’t hate each other anymore than they do for ¾ of a really bad movie.
