Charlie Hinton (Eddie Murphy) is about to be fired from his hot shot advertising job along with his colleague Phil (Jeff Garlin). Suddenly at home, their eyes open up to what a woman goes through all day and how much a parent is needed for small children. This inspires the two to open a ‘daddy day care’ with their other colleague Marvin (Steve Zahn). Eddie Murphy is the King of comic underdog and this movie meets his niche. Knowing that making a film with small kids instead of animals (Doctor Doolittle) is a challenge in itself, Murphy is up for the challenge. He’s amusing, sensitive, funny – Murphy at his best. The movie has a heart and soul with no swearing or violence. The only violence comes from the daily stunts the kids pull and the annoyance of a very convincing private school headmaster rival (Anjelica Huston) – fabulously cast. A great family movie that will hang in at the box office for awhile, with a storyline we can all relate to. Take the entire family!
