These babies don’t talk yet they mange to speak volumes. Here comes a very big documentary about very little people…four babies from San Francisco, Japan, Namibia and Mongolia. Four different cultures, four different ways to raise each that give us a eighty-plus minute education on infancy to age two. Certainly your pediatrician would would raise an eyebrow at this footage. But, this movie doesn’t judge nor does it decide for us, but instead allows us to use our imagination over each mother’s intentions.  And for all us Americans who spend, spend, spend, what you’ll be surprised to learn in the end is that a baby doesn’t need strollers, monitors, onesies or even diapers, to survive and turn out fine. Though the big turning point for most of us is when the African tribal baby can finally walk. You’ll be relieved to get him off the ground whereeverything goes in his mouth. This is Animal Planet of Humans.  A very original and refreshing idea of a Mother’s Day film. Three and a half tiaras
