It may claim to be a mixture of philosophies of Lao-tzu Leidegger and Groucho Marx which promises to turn any man into a veritable Steve McQueen with the ladies, but this premise uses a chubby Don Juan type for its lead role. His chick philosophy for his guy pals is this: “You must learn to eliminate your desire – it’s a Zen code. Women can smell an agenda. Act like a woman can’t join your club and she’ll do anything to get in.” That’s all fine and good until Lex (Donal Logue) shows up at his 10 year reunion an overweight kindergarten teacher who seduces every female he comes in contact with until he is totally stumped by a woman, Syd who is immune to his charms. Suddenly he’s genuinely smitten. Now his plan and theories are put to the test. Initially cute, ultimately tiresome and I kept looking at my watch.
