The “Spiciest Thing” may have been a better title for this tale of two young “Thelma and Louise” girls with a “Dumb and Dumber” edge. Christina Walters (Cameron Diaz) has a golden rule that she shares with roommate Jane (Selma Blair): Don’t look for Mr. Right but Mr. Right Now. Until Christina meets Peter (Thomas Jane) who goes back home miles and hours away after visiting town for a bachelor party. Long story short, Christina entices best pal (Courtney) Christina Applegate to team up with her for a little roadtrip to track down Peter. The beauty of this movie is simply two things: One, Diaz is at her best in bird-brain comedy and it’s refreshing to see a twist where the girl is pulling the one-nighter games instead of a guy.
