It seems that director, writer and producer Nancy Meyers knows what women want, be it the Mel Gibson comedy of the same name, or the blockbuster hit “Something’s Got To Give” but this time she’s made a movie that while we know what women want, these women seem to pander. The story feels like some lame Hallmark Hall of Fame special, as Iris (Kate Winslet) a British writer, can’t get over Jasper (Rufus Sewell) her small town London colleague.  Over in America in flashy L.A., there’s (Amanda) Cameron Diaz a self-made career woman who can’t seem to keep a man (Ed Burns) either.  When the two decide to swap homes (think country mouse and city mouse) Amanda meets British heartthrob Jude Law and Iris meets American film composure Jack Black – two romantic comedies for the price of one movie.  While it has its touching moments, the storyline is often ridiculously over the top.  And while it’s Christmas season and one should be tooting “The Holiday’ horn, one can’t help but think – bah hum bug.  Kind of as annoying as twenty off-key kids singing “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.” Two tiaras
