(rated PG -13, 94 mins.)
Based on the 1998 best-selling novel the story centers around a jilted late-night TV talent booker (Ashley Judd) who has a lot more going on at the office coffee machine than meets the eye. When she gets into a heated affair with co-worker (Greg Kinnear) she turns to her other colleague (Hugh Jackman) for friendship. The story moves on with a scheme concocted by Judd with her best pal (Marisa Tomei), through a fictitious character named Dr. Charles with attitudes of “time wounds all heels” and women are like old cows put out to pasture once they’ve mated. The sexual chemistry and tension works well among the three and why wouldn’t it? They’re hot to look at on screen for 94 minutes! And, Judd’s cheerleading routine in her panties is worth the admittance price. It’s “What Women Want” in reverse with a dose of “Tootsie” when Dr. Charles is revealed in a twisted outcome.
