(rated R, 96 mins.)
Yet another movie about love, guys, campus and girls. Pretty girls. But not to be confused with Richard Linklater’s smart and hilarious “Slacker” which puts this fluff of a flick at a disadvantage. Jason Schwartzman is a down on his luck loser who pines after Angela (James King) long after we learn he spends time (narrated by his roommate, Devan Sawa) having cheat sheets, masturbating moments and screwing up. The plot is to get a date with the girl less this secret about these college cheaters will be revealed. And, the girl of course has no interest in him. Appearing in various dream sequences are Gina Gershon and Cameron Diaz to help highlight a film that is otherwise distinguished with graphic sex jokes and some funny rude dialogue that Schwartzman (the only saving grace) barely generates to remember it by.
