Just when you thought the Farrelly brothers (Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary) had tackled everything, move over hair gel scenes and igniting farts, now it’s incest is best! Chris Klein and Heather Graham are paired for this goofy comedy about a man and a woman who fall madly in lust only to discover they may be brother and sister. Graham is Jo, an Indiana beautician who falls for Gilly, an orphan who works at the local animal shelter. His mother. Her mother. Sally Field. But, when Gilly figures it could be a big misunderstanding he goes chasing off to Graham who has since reunited with her fiancée. Klein seems too young for Graham who come off more sophisticated despite the movie’s silliness. However, like all Farrelly movies (although they didn’t write this one, just bought it from writer Peter Gaulke) it comes equipped with the usual roadtrip and all its nasty happenings. You’ll find new meaning in digging up a cow’s butt for a lost engagement ring but as always there’s a sensitive side to these straight people tossed into a weird world of unknown.
