Dennis Dugan has made some very funny movies in the past with Adam Sandler including the masterpiece “Happy Gilmore” and the box-office hit “Big Daddy”. Now Jason Biggs plays a guy who has always had one true love (Amanda Detmer) but suddenly finds himself in a new relationship with a kinda scary but still sexy Amanda Peet. However, this is affecting his lifelong friendship with two childhood buddies (Steve Zahn and Jack Black). This is where the fun begins as they’ll stop at nothing to bring Silverman back to his senses. Black provides his over the top humor from “High Fidelity” with Zahn as more the pesty controlling pal of the two. R. Lee Ermey (Full Metal Jacket) is the football coach who carries the film an adds to the laughs of these never-can-get-laid-masturbating nerds. And, yes, that is Neil Diamond in a cameo appearance.
