A crippled ship transporting passengers to a distant planet is forced to crash land on a planet that has no other life and no periods of night. Among the marooned survivors are a police officer, an escaped killer and a pilot who feels responsible for the lives lost in the crash. The group struggles for survival when an eclipse throws the planet into darkness and night falls for the first time in 22 yeas. The planet turns lethal and erupts with nocturnal creatures. The survivors, equipped with makeshift lights, must race from the crash site through the treacherous canyon to reach the ship.
A promising sci-fi flick that crashes just as the transporter does. Starring Vin Diesel as the sociopath who thinks only of his freedom. Also stars Radha Mitchell, Cole Hauser and Keith David — and by the end of the movie, nobody will care.
