An unlikely story from director Scott “Shine” Hicks about a single, obsessed chef (Catherine Zeta Jones) whose boss (Patricia Clarkson) thinks she needs therapy, whose therapist (Bob Balaban) thinks she needs a life, and whose co-workers think she has a little too much attitude in her truffle oil. But when her sister tragically dies and Zeta Jones is suddenly faced with raising her niece (Abigail “Little Miss Sunshine” Breslin) she won’t bond with her Aunt. But she does bond with her Aunt’s hot and sexy Sous chef (Aaron Eckhart) who wants more than just the secret of her Aunt’s saffron sauce.  This delightful little movie about the recipes of life seems to be the right blend of passion, vulnerability and ego served on a hot stove of chemistry.
