For anybody who has ever fantasized about what it would be like to be married to Brad Pitt or say, Julia Roberts, comes a screwball romantic comedy about Yvan (Yvan Attal), a sportsreporter, married to Charlotte (Charlotte Gaisnbourg), a popular movie star that everybody is madly in love with. Fighting through the constant strain of autograph seekers, annoying gawkers and then there’s those love scenes on set! Yikes! When Charlotte’s latest role against John (Terence Stamp) a suave, older international star comes about, all hell breaks lose. He’s the Harrison Ford of nightmares! Lead star Attal also directs this witty balance of fidelity-testing schemes against scenic Paris landscapes that make for a fun half French-subtitled film covering male hysteria to perfection. Gainsbourg is one of France’s most popular actresses and happens to be Attal’s real life wife. Guess this is reality put to big screen and in a peculiar way, it works. Truly a delightful twist on marriage vows.
