Adam Sandler stars as a man who has just moved to New York City from — hell. Yes, the authentic flaming red place. His father, Satan (Harvey Keitel) has sent him on a mission to find his evil brother to what better place than Manhattan with his tour guide, a beefy bulldog named “Beefy” (of course). Everything is going according to plan until he falls for Valerie (Patricia Arquette) causing him to feel fires he never felt in purgatory. When he must choose between the girl and his family, all hell–literally–breaks loose. If you love Adam Sandler’s huge appeal in “The Wedding Singer” and “Big Daddy” this one gives new meaning to the words box office hit. Sandler’s performance is best to date.
