(Rated PG-13, 95 mins.)
Don’t worry about coming up with dumb blonde jokes, this movie does it all for you! Reese Witherspoon plays the adorable Elle Woods, (think “Clueless” goes to college), a sorority babe who majors in fashion and minors in sexy cute. This is all fine until boyfriend (Matthew Davis) dumps her blonde butt for an intelligent brunette, Selma Blair, (Witherspoon’s “Cruel Intentions” co-star), who majors in law. Witherspoon applies to Harvard, follows him east and soon discovers that her yellow locks don’t blend with Ivy League crimson. Despite it’s 1001 blonde jokes, that aren’t even funny, Witherspoon has chutzpah and it works in this Alicia Silverstone revival for today’s twenty year olds who can relate to its appeal.
